  • April 14 - Who is God and what can we expect from God?

  • April 21 - What is the Bible and how do we understand it as an ancient document that is relevant to our lives today?

  • April 28 - What role does the church play in my own life and in the communities where we live?

  • May 5 - How do we apply our faith to some of the more difficult moral questions in our society?

This seminar is open to anyone (young and old in faith) who has questions about these important ideas. No sign-up necessary—please feel free to come for any or all weeks.

Baptism

Have you ever made a public commitment of faith in Christ through baptism? Perhaps you were baptized as a child and would like to reaffirm that experience as an adult. Perhaps you’ve been following Jesus, but never had the opportunity to be baptized.

Baptism is an outward expression of an inward change, witnessed and encouraged by your faith community, always a significant experience in your journey of faith. On Sunday, June 9, we will conclude our worship service on the patio with immersion baptism, with family, friends, and the congregation gathered around to celebrate.

If you (or your teenager) would like to find out more about being baptized, please let us know by May 31.

Community Blood Drive

Your Blood Donation Can
Help Save Lives

Extreme blood shortages persist across the Bay Area and nationwide. At this time, hospitals are requiring blood more quickly than volunteer donations are coming in.

IF APPOINTMENTS ARE FULL, WE CAN TAKE WALK-INS

We are working with Vitalant (formerly Blood Centers of the Pacific), a national nonprofit organization providing safe blood and blood products to 45 hospitals in the Bay Area and Northern California.

Who can donate? Anyone age 16+ in good health. There is no upper age limit. CLICK HERE to review donor eligibility details. If you have any questions regarding your eligibility or have traveled internationally in the last 3 months to an area where malaria may be a factor, please call Vitalant at 877-258-4825, option 1.

How long does it take? While the actual donation process only takes about 10 minutes, you should allow an hour for health history questionnaire, medical screening, and post-donation snacks.

On the day of your appointment, be sure to drink plenty of water and have a good meal prior to donating. Fill out the health history questionnaire online ahead of time HERE before coming in for your appointment (must be completed the same day as blood donation).

Questions or having trouble making an appointment? Contact Vitalant directly at 877-258-4825.

Neighborhood Prayer Walk

What Story Is Our Neighborhood Telling?

What does following Jesus have to do with place? In particular, this place? To love someone is to know them. And our neighborhoods have a story.

As we seek to join in the restorative work of God happening around us, we are invited to learn and enter into our place's story—a the story that has been happening long before us and continues to be written in this present moment.

Join us for a neighborhood prayer walk as we seek to listen to the story our neighborhood is telling. Our hope is to open ourselves to the beautiful and broken realities found throughout these streets, as we continue to discern and envision together what opportunities might exist for us to participate in God’s dreams for this place.
